Bishop Daly: Pro-Choice Pols Should Not Receive Eucharist

By JD Flynn, CNA - The Bishop of Spokane said Friday that that politicians who publicly support abortion should not receive the Eucharist in his diocese... “Politicians who reside in the Catholic Diocese of Spokane, and who obstinately persevere in their public support for abortion, should not receive Communion without first being reconciled to Christ and the Church,” Bishop Thomas Daly wrote in a Feb. 1 letter to his diocese.

By Dov Fischer, American Spectator - We now have states like New York racing to expand their abortion-on-demand laws, in anticipation that the United States Supreme Court soon will revisit Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973), and overturn all of part of it, finding finally that the opinion was fabricated injudiciously, using hokey reasoning and specious legal precedent to arrive at a politically predetermined conclusion… When Justice Ginsburg or Breyer steps down and is replaced by a Constitutional Originalist, Roe v. Wade presumably will be aborted on the federal landscape, but states still will be allowed to permit abortions in their jurisdictions if they so please.

New Movie Tells Story of Abortion Clinic Worker Turned Pro-Life Advocate (Watch Trailer)

Catholic News Agency - A movie chronicling the conversion of a former Planned Parenthood clinic director who became a pro-life advocate will be released in theaters nationwide on March 29... A trailer for the film Unplanned, which tells the story of Abby Johnson, was released on Thursday... Based off Johnson’s book of the same name, Unplanned recounts her experiences in the abortion industry. After being first approached at an on-campus activities fair, Johnson began volunteering at Planned Parenthood as a clinic escort. After graduation, she took a job with the company and eventually became the director of the Bryan, Texas clinic. In 2008, she was named as the clinic’s employee of the year.
