With his departure, radically pro-abortion vice president Kamala Harris is expected to be the Democrat nominee to face former President Donald Trump... Biden’s potential exit from the presidential race comes after a horrible debate performance in which he sounded weak and sick and had difficulty defending his record as president. It also comes after an assassination attempt on Trump’s life that has resulted in additional support for his campaign and increasing mental health failures for Biden.

J.D. Vance Is Right and the Pope Is Wrong on “Climate Change”, by Austin Ruse

By Austin Ruse, Crisis Magazine - Now, there are issues with J.D. and some positions he has taken that run sideways with the Faith. He says he supports the abortion drug. This cannot be and has to change... He’s getting tagged for his opposition to illegal immigration. But the Church does not give us the number of illegals we are required to take under Church doctrine, though I am pretty sure we are not required by our Faith to take any illegals, and it is undoubtedly not millions per year... And then there is “climate change.” We are told that we oppose Church teaching or that we are anti-Francis if we question catastrophic man-made “climate change.” I know J.D. questions this scientific proposition.

Trump-Vance: The Soft-Prolife Ticket, by Sean Fitzpatrick

To paraphrase the words of that holiest of statesmen, St. Thomas More, it profits a man nothing to give his soul for the whole world, but for the White House? Given his hard anti-abortion position in the past, J. D. Vance is most likely acting in acknowledgment of the current state of affairs. And while it is good that he is not openly accepting the tragedy of abortion, it is disappointing all the same. All that being said, Mr. Vance seems like a smart, solid man and well-suited to run for office, and it is encouraging to see a generational shift; but as a Catholic, he needs our prayers just as much (or more) as our support. There is always time for another conversion.
