U.S. Sens. Tammy Baldwin, of Wisconsin, and Patty Murray, of Washington state, want taxpayers to pay $350 million annually for travel expenses, lodging, childcare and meals for pregnant mothers who want elective abortions.

In a (the “Respect for Marriage Act” passed) 61-36 vote last Tuesday, the bill received final approval in the Senate. It now goes back to the House for a final vote, where it is expected to pass easily. It will then go to the President for his signature... the bill ultimately has nothing to do with “respecting” marriage.

Because the conference represents 200 congregations, about 75 percent of which are leaving, the conference likely will dissolve next year, The Texas Tribune reports. The vote was 261-24.
