By Lauretta Brown, National Catholic Register - A judge in St. Louis is deciding whether to issue an injunction allowing the last abortion facility in the state to remain open, amid the state health department’s refusal to renew its license due to concerns that include patient safety, failed surgical abortions and failure to obtain informed consent… And while Planned Parenthood argues that the state is targeting abortion access, some former abortion clinic workers say that the case is indicative of a larger problem that the organization has with meeting medical standards.

By Ryan Everson, Crisis Magazine - There is a large consensus that despite being Republican appointees, Justices Kavanaugh and Roberts cannot be trusted to overturn Roe. Consequently, there is a risk for the 5-4 conservative Supreme Court majority to turn into a defeat of 4-5 or even 3-6 on abortion policy. However, the likelihood of such defeat depends upon which law is before the court. Roberts and Kavanaugh may be willing to uphold a 14-week Dilation and Evacuation abortion ban, but they are less likely to uphold Alabama’s all-out ban.

The primary author of that "heartbeat" bill says he and other defenders of the unborn had simply had enough with the radical pro-abortion measures being enacted in other states… "The sight of members of state legislatures cheering the legalization of late-term abortions rocked the moral infrastructure of our nation to the core," states Louisiana State Senator John Milkovich (D-District 38)
