CBO Claims: A Late-Term Abortion Saves Feds $7,000

Jeffrey., CNSNews - The CBO made its cold-blooded calculations about the “cost” of saving a baby from late-term abortion… The basic assumption of the CBO estimate is that allowing a baby to be born costs the federal government money because of the percentage of babies who are born on Medicaid… “Because the costs of about 45 percent of all births are paid for by the Medicaid program, CBO estimates that federal spending for Medicaid will rise to the extent that enacting H.R. 36 results in additional births relative to current law”….

Making Catholic Hospitals Illegal

By Bill Donohue , President, Catholic League - An editorial in today’s New York Times posits a conflict between religion and healthcare, abortion being the main focus. “Freedom of religion is essential—and so is access to health care,” it says… the editorial says that “Current law tries to accommodate both, but the far right has stirred unfounded fears that religion (and Christianity in particular) is under assault, and that people of faith are in danger of being forced to do things they find morally objectionable.”

LIFENEWS: Catholic Bishop Rebukes Nancy Pelosi: Human Life Begins at Conception, It’s Scientific Fact

BY STEVEN ERTELT, LIFENEWS - Nancy Pelosi is an abortion activists who claims to be a Catholic in good standing, but she has now been rebuked by her own bishops following comments in which she couldn’t say if an unborn child at 20 weeks is a human being... Pelosi refused to say today during a press conference if an unborn baby is a human being. When asked directly by a reporter, she deflected the question and went on to another aspect of the abortion debate.
