Trump Admin Slams Supreme Court’s Abortion Decision: It “Devalued the Lives of Unborn Children”, by Steven Ertelt

By Steven Ertelt, Life News - On behalf of President Donald Trump, the White House issued a statement slamming the ruling and saying it “devalued the lives of unborn children.”... “In an unfortunate ruling today, the Supreme Court devalued both the health of mothers and the lives of unborn children by gutting Louisiana’s policy that required all abortion procedures be performed by individuals with admitting privileges at a nearby hospital,” the White House said. “States have legitimate interests in regulating any medical procedure—including abortions—to protect patient safety...."

U.S. Bishops Condemn ‘Cruel’ SCOTUS Pro-Abortion Ruling, by Thomas D. Williams

By Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D., Breitbart - “Abortion violently ends the life of a child, and often severely harms women,” writes Kansas City Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann in a statement. “Abortion becomes even more destructive when basic health and safety standards are ignored, and profit margins are prioritized over women’s lives.”... “As Catholics, we condemn abortion as a grave injustice that denies the fundamental human right to life,” Archbishop Naumann said. “Yet even as we seek to end the brutality of legalized abortion, we still believe that the women who seek it should not be further harmed and abused by a callous, profit-driven industry.”

Roberts Votes Pro-Death, by Bradley Eli

By Bradley Eli, M.Div., Ma.Th., Church Militant - Chief Justice John Roberts — a Catholic — cast the deciding vote in the High Court's first major abortion ruling of the Trump era... Roberts sided with four liberal justices Monday in the case of June Medical Services v. Russo, allowing the U.S. Supreme Court to nullify Louisiana's abortionist admitting-privilege law. Concurring with the liberal majority, Roberts wrote that the status quo must be preserved... "The legal doctrine of stare decisis requires us, absent special circumstances, to treat like cases alike," Roberts penned. "The Louisiana law imposes a burden on access to abortion just as severe as that imposed by the Texas law, for the same reasons. Therefore Louisiana's law cannot stand under our precedents."

Abortion Enjoying Limited Support, by Charlie Butts

By Charlie Butts, OneNewsNow - David O'Steen, executive director of the National Right to Life Committee, says 40 percent of those who participated in the annual Gallup poll on social issues believe terminating the life of a preborn baby to be morally wrong... "Once again this shows that most Americans, in this particular poll a plurality of Americans, identified as feeling abortion is morally wrong," O’Steen tells OneNewsNow. "This has been consistent ever since Roe v. Wade."
