Withdrawing life-support and refusing to allow Alfie’s parents to take him home, feed and care for him, is, instead merely “redirecting care,” Dr. Singh said: “This is not the killing of a child – this is redirecting care to make them more comfortable.”

Despite last-minute interventions, including the Italian government’s gift of citizenship to the infant, the child died four days after doctors at the Alder Hey NHS (National Health Service) Foundation ignored his parents’ wishes and removed him from a ventilator.

The hospital has all the cards in its hand. It’s been granted all rights by the court, even the permission to kill baby Alfie according to what it calls an “end of life care plan” that includes the use of a lethal drug cocktail... Even the priest who was with the family in the hospital providing them spiritual support has been removed from the hospital.
