Oh, rock-a my soul!” At first glance its meaning may seem obscure, but it speaks to a deep tradition and a kind of spiritual strategy that has great wisdom... Biblically, the “bosom of Abraham” referred to the place of rest in Sheol, where the righteous dead awaited the Messiah and Judgment Day.

By Lisa Bourne, LifeSiteNews - Nearly a week after last Tuesday’s scathing Pennsylvania grand jury report exposing 70 years of clergy sex abuse of 1,000 known victims on the part of some 300 priests, Pope Francis responded to the scandal today, stating that “clericalism” was the root cause… He did not, however, acknowledge the issue of homosexuality among clergy, offer concrete steps for resolution of the crisis, nor recognize the role bishops have played in the scandal. In fact, the word "bishop" does not appear once in the entire letter.

By Catholic News Agency - The bishop was particularly candid in his assessment of the cause of those problems: “In the specific situations at hand, we are talking about deviant sexual — almost exclusively homosexual — acts by clerics. We’re also talking about homosexual propositions and abuses against seminarians and young priests by powerful priests, bishops and cardinals. We are talking about acts and actions which are not only in violation of the sacred promises made by some, in short, sacrilege, but also are in violation of the natural moral law for all.

Craine, LifeSiteNews - In the pastoral letter to his diocese, Bishop Robert Morlino of Madison, Wisconsin, speaks with utter clarity about the “depravity” that has been allowed to fester in the Church and insists it must be “rooted out” even from within the U.S. episcopate… “It is time to admit that there is a homosexual subculture within the hierarchy of the Catholic Church that is wreaking great devastation in the vineyard of the Lord,” he writes… The sex abuse crisis has continued, he says, because the modern Church has become too comfortable with sin in her teaching and practice.
