But now, they have been collected in a new Ignatius Press book, “The Divine Project: Reflections on Creation and Church.”... “It’s a wonderful summation of what God intends in creating us and redeeming us, in six lectures. It’s just a great find,” Father Joseph Fessio, SJ, president of Ignatius Press, told CNA. “It’s written for students and spoken for students. It’s really quite readable.”

His case is the occasion of dissension and division among passionate pro-life Catholics. Some are convinced he is guilty. Others are dismissing the victims or diminishing their complaints in an attempt to preserve their positive image of Frank Pavone. People are tying themselves in knots trying to make sense of the situation. Pavone could cut those knots very simply by admitting what he did.

By Shannon Mullen, Courtney Mares, CNA - Los Angeles Auxilary Bishop David O’Connell, a popular priest in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for many years known for his work ministering to immigrants, the poor, and victims of gun violence in South LA, was shot and killed Saturday, authorities said... Earlier in the day, Archbishop José Gomez released a statement announcing that Bishop O’Connell, an Irish native who had worked in the Los Angeles area for the past 45 years, had died unexpectedly... “I am very sad this afternoon to report that our beloved Auxiliary Bishop David O’Connell has passed away unexpectedly,” Archbishop Gomez said in the statement, Angelus News reported.
