Catholics who used it knew that in the eyes of the Church they were sinning and that they must not receive the Blessed Eucharist until they repented of the use and abandoned it. Now there are voices all about us raised in question, not only of the prohibition’s rightness, but of whether the Church can actually be said to have taught it.” (p. 51) ...
