The Joy of Ordination

By Sean Morrisroe, Catholic Stand - This was the first time I attended an ordination. I did not know what to expect... After the ceremony was over, all two and half hours, the consensus between my wife, daughter, and son was the same. We loved it. We were all filled with joy and were glad we participated in the ceremony and gave moral support to the new priests. My son said, enthusiastically, “That was the best Mass I ever went to!” The incense, the choir singing in Latin, the organ, the ancient rituals, and watching a new generation of men taking the mantle to carry the message of Christ lifted us and gave us hope.

By Msgr. Charles Pope - The Ridicule of the Resurrection – The Gospel opens as follows: Some Sadducees, who deny there is a resurrection, came forward and put [a] question to Jesus. They proposed a hypothetical situation in which a woman is married seven times, to brothers who successively die without siring any children by her. The Sadducees suggested that at the resurrection there would be confusion as to whose wife she really is; we’re supposed to laugh and conclude that the idea of resurrection is absurd.

Analysis: Cardinal Parolin at the Elite Bilderberg Meeting

By Andrea Gagliarducci, CNA - Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, will take part in the Bilderberg Conference, an annual private gathering of global political, business and media leaders, set to take place this year in Turin, Italy, June 7 – 10… If his participation were confirmed, it would be the first time high-ranking Vatican official has taken part in the Bilderberg Conferences… The Bilderberg meeting’s official website stresses that discussions are private, no minutes are taken and no reports are written… participants… cannot disclose the identity nor the affiliation of speakers, nor can they disclose the other participants taking part in the conversation.
