Every day is literally a fight between life and death and while the pro-life movement has had some wins, over 3,000 abortions are still happening every day in this nation. It’s intense. It’s emotional. And some days it can be disheartening.

They are so profound that the Church just touches on one each Sunday in the Easter Season… On the Fourth Sunday of Easter, the celebration is about God setting things up so that Christ continues to shepherd his people even while they are on earth… First of all, God shone his “light” into the world. (First Reading) Jesus is known as the light of the Nations. God spoke his “voice” into this world. (Gospel) Jesus is known as the Incarnate Word.
As we’ve been discussing in this series, there is a great gap between the Christian understanding of creational stewardship and the contemporary emphasis of environmentalism. This latter pseudo-religion finds its Fall of Adam in humanity’s role as a new Prometheus, bringing the fire of ecological destruction to Mother Earth. This focus has led many to zero in on man-made explanations for phenomena instead of more plausible natural causes.
