Boquet, Human Life International - During a papal audience with Pope St. John Paul II in 1979, Father Marx offered his insights with the saintly pope saying that “once contraception is widespread, the rest is predictable. In every country contraception always leads to massive abortion.” He further emphasized that “once you have contraception and legalized or widespread abortion, birthrates fall; nations collapse; young people follow their parents in the abuse of sex; and increasing numbers live together without the benefit of marriage.” As if capable of looking into the future, Father Marx also discussed the intimate link between contraception, abortion, and euthanasia. For “if you can kill before birth, why can’t you kill after birth? So, euthanasia is inevitable.”

Chinese Officials Announce Demolition of Underground Parish Church, by Thomas D. Williams

Williams PH.D., Breitbart - Communist party officials have notified a diocese in China’s southeastern Jiangxi province that they will soon demolish the underground church of the Annunciation because of the failure of its pastor to join the state-controlled Catholic Patriotic Association… last August police approached the parish priest of the Annunciation Church and demanded that he register the church with the government and join the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association, if he wished to save the church from demolition… Both the priest and his parishioners indicated, however, that they would rather sacrifice the church than join the Patriotic Association.

Texas Right to Life - Donald Jones and his daughter, Kina, watched powerlessly as the Texas 10-Day Rule sanctioned the removal of a ventilator from their beloved wife and mother, Carolyn Jones, against their wishes… A dozen family members and invited guests, including Texas Right to Life’s Director of Media and Communication Kim Schwartz, gathered at Carolyn’s bedside at Memorial Hermann Southwest… The family begged, “Please don’t do this,” between heartbreaking sobs, as hospital staff turned the switches.

Engaging people in conversation is only the start; the aim is to try to get Catholics who have lapsed from the Faith to go to Confession before Easter – and thus re-engage seriously with the sacramental life of the Church.
