The bill is now pending in the House Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence Committee… Texas H.B. 896, also called the Abolition of Abortion Act, would make it illegal to get an abortion or to kill a baby by abortion at any stage of pregnancy. It would also be illegal to fail to treat an infant born alive after an abortion. Doctors who failed to treat a baby born alive after an abortion would be fined no less than $100,000….
