Time’s Up for the Bishops

By Cynthia Millen, Catholic Stand - As a Catholic school teacher, I’ve been required to take several “safe touching” classes. I’ve had to sign document after document in which I agree to abide by Church teaching. I am prohibited from being in a room alone with a student, to transport a student, or to have any private contact with a student. I am required to be careful about everything I publish on the web…. Bishops, why did you exempt yourselves from the rigorous requirements under which the rest of your flock were placed?

An Open Letter From Young Catholics

Some of us are younger than others, but we were all children in the decades leading up to the sexual abuse crisis of 2002. In light of that experience and the recent revelations about Archbishop Theodore McCarrick, we answer the Church’s invitation to speak. Our experiences have given us cause for gratitude, but also for anger.

19 Attorneys General Challenge Federal Policy Prohibiting Abortions for Unaccompanied Minors

AG Sessions Calls Out Southern Poverty Law Center for Using ‘Hate Group’ Label to ‘Bully’ Conservatives

By Fred Lucas, Daily Signal - Attorney General Jeff Sessions specifically called out the Southern Poverty Law Center, a liberal group known for labeling organizations it opposes as “hate groups.”… “People of faith are facing a new hostility. Really some of it is a bigoted ideology which is founded on animus towards people of faith,” Sessions told the ADF conference. “You’ll notice that (SPLC) don’t rely on the facts. They don’t make better arguments. They don’t propose higher ideals. They just call people names—like ‘hate group.’ Does that sound familiar?”
