She wasn’t being ugly or violent. She wasn’t yelling or screaming at anybody. She was exercising her constitutional rights to public protest. She was doing so not with a noisy and obnoxious campaign. She was praying. Quietly.

Ilhan Omar was a guest on the far-left program “Democracy Now!” where she blamed Venezuela’s current crisis on the United States… "A lot of the policies that we have put in place has kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela,” she claimed, “and we sort of set the stage for where we are arriving today."… That comment didn’t sit well with Nikki Haley (pictured at right), the former UN ambassador, who used Twitter to point out that Venezuelan adults have lost 24 pounds on average because they are starving, and babies there have no milk, all because of the “corrupt” regime under dictator Nicolas Maduro.

Americans aged eighteen to twenty-nine were marginally more positive about socialism (51 percent) than capitalism (45 percent). Overall, capitalism received a positive rating of 56 percent from Americans. That was its lowest rating since 2010, just after the Great Recession… At a time of prosperity in America, why has backing for socialism surged and support for capitalism faltered?
